Employer Brand Basics

What is an Employer Brand Brief?

Short Answer

A practical, role-ready guide: positioning, proof, fit signals, and how to use it in hiring touchpoints.

Long Answer

An Employer Brand Brief is the “field manual” for becoming choosable. It distills the employer brand into what teams actually need: who we’re hiring, why the right people choose us, what proof makes it credible, what tradeoffs define fit, and how to express it consistently across job posts, outreach, interviews, and offers. It’s meant to be used daily—not admired. If a recruiter can’t copy/paste parts of it into outreach, or a hiring manager can’t say it in 60 seconds, it’s not a real brief.

When you take a fresh approach to employer branding, more as a business driver than an application generator, as a way to make your differentiated value shine rather than as a bumper sticker, amazing things can happen.
